Manchester United vs Hull Betting Preview

Manchester United sacked their coach after a miserable performance in the Champions League and a string of defeats in the domestic championship.

It looked like Ryan Giggs will turn the ship around after the 4-0 victory over Southampton, but the very next round, Manchester lost at old Trafford Sunderland. Even though everything is lost and the Red Devils won't play in a European competition next season, they will try to win by a wide margin against out of form Hull.

Manchester United vs Hull Betting Tips

The hosts had several players injured including the striker Robin Van Persie, but this excuse was not good enough to prevent David Moyes from getting sacked. Giggs now has his best players fit to play and except for Rafael who is still mending an injury, nobody will spend time on the bench.

The new coach took a leap of faith with Hernandez and Mata but the two players failed miserably in the last home game. They will be replaced by Rooney and Van Persie upfront and against Hull's struggling defense, these two strikers should find a way to the goal.

There is very little that Manchester United plays for right now, but Giggs is desperate to prove his worth and he needs victories in order to have a chance at a more permanent position. They will be facing a team that is plummeting through the standings and is desperate to collect at least one point.

Hull still has a four point advantage over Norwich and a game in hand, but they face Manchester United, Everton and Arsenal in the last three games. It is quite possible for them to win no point and under these circumstances the specter of relegation is looming once again.

Key Facts

  • Manchester United played against Hull five times so far and won all these games, three times by more than two goals.
  • Hull failed to win any of the last three games and allowed a total of eight goals while scoring just three

Manchester United vs Hull Betting Prediction

Even if the hosts don't get the football machinery in full throttle, they are still overwhelming favorites to prevail and will give Hull a run for their money. The visitors will frantically defend and hope that at the end of 90 min., they will return home with a point, but this is an unlikely scenario. If Manchester United takes an early lead, Hull will be forced to come out of its shell and that's why it is worth backing the hosts to cover the -1.5 goals spread.
