English Roulette (European)
English roulette is a variation of the game of roulette, close to French roulette (which is also called European roulette).
The rules are easy to assimilate, for beginners as well as for more experimented players.
However, it is different from French roulette in certain areas: particularly, the number of players is limited to 8, while it is unlimited for French roulette.
Each player has a pile of chips with a specific colour that is unique to them, in order to prevent any error and confusion in the recognition of bets by the croupier.
English roulette presents a fundamental advantage compared to other variations of roulette: it allows players to win bigger amounts more quickly.
Here is something for you to get familiar with this appealing and poplar variation of roulette.
Objective of English Roulette
The aim of the game of English roulette is identical to other variations of roulette: you have to bet on the winning number and/or the type of number (colour, even or odd, between 1 and 12, etc.), in order to multiply your bet as much as possible and get the biggest profits.
Proceedings of English Roulette
A table manager and a croupier are present around the English roulette table. Eight players take possession of their own pile of chips, adapted to the English roulette table they are playing on, with a specific colour for each of them.
- Players place their own bets, especially for simple stake games.
- Once all of the initial bets have been placed, the croupier says the very famous sentence: “No more bets.” At this moment, they spin the wheel anti-clockwise and throw the white marble clockwise.
- As soon as the white marble stops, the croupier announces the winning number and colour.
Betting at English Roulette
When betting at English roulette, the bets are placed according to the same types of game and configurations as for French roulette.
Therefore, the most famous bets remain the straight up, split or corner bets, which allow to generate the biggest profits if they happen to be winning.
