The place bets
Craps allows players to choose a “place” bet. This consists in betting chips on the making of a point with 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 before a combination of 7 appears.
The player must simply indicate “I place on number” while putting the pile of chips on the number corresponding to their choice. At this moment, the dealer moves the bet to the appropriate box.
When it comes to profits and losses, the rules are exactly the same as for the “pass line” or even “come bets” strategies. There are two differences though: the odds are not the same and the player can take their bet back if they wish to do so.
The casino pays bets on the “place” box with a rate of 4% on a combination of 5 or 9, and 6.67% on a total of 4 or 10.
Remuneration of the place bet
- On a 4 or a 10, the remuneration rate is 9 to 5.
- With a 5 or a 9, the rate is 7 to 5.
- For a 6 or an 8, the rate is 7 to 6.
